Story Time with an EMSA Dispatcher!
Last week, EMSA Communications Supervisor Angela Bales brought smiles and sirens to life during a special story time at Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa!
Surrounded by curious and enthusiastic young listeners, Angela read “Ambulance Ambulance!” by Sally Sutton and Brian Lovelock — a fun, action-packed book that captures the exciting world of emergency responders.
It was a great way to inspire the next generation and help children feel comfortable and confident around emergency services. Thank you, Angie, for making safety educational and fun!
First ROSC Pin!
“It was one of the coolest moments of my life.”
Allyssa Brown is one of our newest EMTs who just graduated from EMSA’s in-house EMT program, EMSA Advantage. Just days after graduation, she responded to a call that she’ll never forget.
Along with EMSA Paramedic Jonathan Mulenga & EMT Xavier Smith, Allyssa responded to a call about a woman in labor.
After helping the mother give birth, they turned their attention to the baby whose heart wasn’t beating. The crew started CPR until he opened his eyes and started breathing on his own.
As a result, Allyssa received her first ROSC pin and her first stork pin for the delivery.
