A Paid EMT Training Position
EMSA is partnering with Oklahoma State University for EMSA Advantage – an unrivaled opportunity for High School/GED Equivalent Graduates who are interested in getting their EMT certification. Applicants must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent, must be 18+ years of age and must have a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2-years to be considered. This cannot be an intermediate license or a permit.
EMSA Advantage trainees sign a contract to work full-time for EMSA for 18-months once training is complete.
- Phase 1- Basic EMT instruction will begin in the classroom setting and will last approximately 9-weeks. Trainees will be full-time employees and paid $12.75 per hour during this time.
- Phase 2- Once training and NREMT testing is complete, trainees will begin EMSA’s specialized Orientation/Academy to become system credentialed. Trainees’ pay will increase to $16.19 per hour during this time. This phase will last approximately 4-weeks, including classroom and field internship.
This program is highly condensed, so 100% attendance is required.
