A Complete 180
Talk about a complete 180!
Zak Baldridge had been a personal trainer for 10 years when he was ready for something different. He spotted an EMSA ambulance with the ‘Join EMSA’ banner on it, and never looked back.
Zak applied for EMSA Advantage and became a certified EMT. While going through EMSA’s Academy, he did an observation shift in the Tulsa Communications Center and knew he found what he was looking for.
“It just clicked. I’m constantly doing something. Something is always happening and you’re not sitting still for long. Your mind is running all day.”
Zak has been an EMSA dispatcher for several months and has already had a few calls that have made an impact on his life- including helping a man save his friend’s life.
“Best choice that I’ve made. I wish I had done it out of high school but better late than never.”
